My ambition isn't measured by how many chocolates we sell today, but by whether, a hundred years from now, people still recognise the name Mister Chocolate as a symbol of authenticity, craftsmanship, and pure joy.
I don't believe people buy chocolate because they're hungry. They buy it to celebrate. To say thank you. To comfort someone they love. To create a memory.

A Belgian Chocolate Legacy, Since 1889
Our story begins in Brussels in 1889, when Maria Le Clef and her husband Joseph took over a small chocolate business founded six years earlier in Schaerbeek. Together, they built it into one of Belgium's most celebrated chocolate houses — a company that would go on to define an entire century of Belgian confectionery craft.
For nearly a hundred years, the Le Clef family stood at the heart of that legacy: sourcing the finest cocoa, perfecting recipes that would become national icons, and upholding a standard of quality that would eventually earn the title of Purveyor to the Royal Court of Belgium.
Today, that same family heritage continues under Maurice Le Clef, a direct descendant of the Bieswal-Leclef family, who carries the craftsmanship, discipline, and passion of that founding generation into a new chapter — Mister Chocolate. What began in 1889 as a family's dedication to exceptional Belgian chocolate now finds new expression: timeless indulgence, reimagined for a modern world.
